If some one is going to write a paper on some thing they have not done research on, most likey they will be getting there information from other sources. If their own knowledge is not enough sources like the internet or other books with facts on the subject will make up their paper. It is impotant to sight were u got this information from if u didnt come up with it on your own. It is important do do this because you have to give that source credit. It makes the paper more credible. Also if some one does not give sources in which they got the information it would look as if they committed plagarism which is ilegal. That would bacically mean some one used another persons findings and words trying to make them their own. To avoid this we must include sources where we got our information from.

  2. It is important to give credit where it is due because the thought is not your personal thought. Not only does it make your paper a more well-written paper, you earn more credit for specifying where your infomation comes from. Plagarizing a paper can result in a failing grade. So why not just cite your sources and pass the first time. It makes you seem more credible. If you plagarize someone else’s work it is like stealing their thoughts. Stealing an object is illegal, so stealing a thought is the same in a sense. Accepting credit for something that is not your own is wrong. Taking a thought from somewhere else is cheating, so you are not actually learning anything from the assignment. It is taking the easy way out, and it is a slap in the face to those who actually put time and effort into doing the assignment. A major way that plagarism can be avoided is by paraphrasing. If you re-word the passage, it gives the thought your own personal spin. Therefore, making the thought a little more of your own.

  3. It is very imperative to give credit to those whom you draw information from, otherwise you would be plagiarizing. Also, borrowing another writer's sentence structure or ideas without proper acknowledgement is dishonest. Another reason you should always credit your source is because your readers must be notified of where you attain your information from so that they will know whether or not it is a reliable source. When writing a paper, you should use your own ideas and if you incorporate ideas of another writer, be sure to issue credit where it is due.

  4. It is important to give due credit when writing and citing information from various sources for several reasons. The reader will think that a paper has more credibility if an author provides sources so they can corroborate the information, then they know the author did not mislead the reader about something because his statements can be checked as to whether they are factual or not. Furthermore, if the reader questions something that the author wrote and cited as being from a source, then the reader can determine the credibility of the source. For example, the Wall Street Journal would have more credibility if cited in an article concerning the economy, stocks, etc. than the New York Post. If a writer doesn't reference any sources, then the reader will think that the article is plagiarized or is not well researched and therefore not worth reading or discussing. Plagiarism can be avoided by meticulously citing the sources used, paraphrasing in a way that you focus on a particular aspect of the original work and expound upon it, and have a thorough understanding of what plagiarism is such as if you use information from a source, but the information is common knowledge and you state it in your own words, then it is not plagiarism.

  5. If we do copy someone else's ideas or words then it is very important to give them due credit. If we do not do this, it will be called plagiarism. Often most of students do not do their own efforts or brainstorming in writing. They just try to steal others’ thoughts, writing etc. and do not reveal from where the source is to be taken. It is an illegal and inappropriate way. There are many ways that plagiarism may be avoided. Firstly, we shouldn’t cheat from other's ideas. Secondly, if we are using what someone else has written then try to write their exact words and put them into quotation marks. Thirdly, we should talk to our professor about how we can improve our writing and how to write new ways of writing. Finally, we should manage our time. Most of the students do not get time to complete their assignment on time. Due to lack of time they intentionally plagiarize.

  6. Its important to give writers create for their work because it was their ideas and if they did such a good job they should be mentioned. I don’t think we would like it if someone used our work without giving us credit. Its also important to mention the author incase someone want to refer to his or her work. However, if we fail to give credit to the author it would be considered plagiarizing. Plagiarism can be avoid in many ways such as using citing quotation, putting paraphrases in your own words or putting borrowed text in to quotation marks. Citing quotations by mention the authors name and the text being citing followed by the page number in parentheses. Also at the end a lists of reference would be present. Putting texts in your own words is a good way to avoid taking others thoughts and using it. Last by not least using quotation marks to indicate you are using text from a source is a good way to prevent plagiarism

  7. It is important to give credit to whom your sources come from at all times. Authors always put their best efforts into what they are writing. For a person as a writer it is respectful to let a reader know that you are taking information from someone else. Just as hard as you are working someone else worked as hard to create a meaningful composition which is worthy enough for you to cite from. Plagiarism is simply taking credit for someone else’s work, citation is used to justify this issue. Ways to stop plagiarism is by summarizing your work and coming up with your own ideas to create a full response. Plagiarism can be viewed as cheating and cheating is shunned upon everywhere stealing ideas or exact text is not supported. A persons intellect should be based on what they can do not by what someone else has already done.

  8. Plagiarism is the act of stealing another person work, passing it on as yours and taking the full credit for your own. It is important that you give due credit to those whom you draw your information and reference because its only right, they are the actually person who put in time, thought and research into everything that they have wrote. It isn’t fair that another person can just come out of thin air and take credit for work they know they do not deserve. Some ways to avoid plagiarism is by actually taking your time out and doing your research also studying helps. There are times when you are actually allowed to BORROW someone’s work but it must be citied so that the author can get the much deserved credit and also yourself because it showed that you did some type of research. Plagiarism never gets you into anything good all it ever does is cause problems that could have been avoided. An example of plagiarism would be a college student who has stole a copy of a previously written paper and putting his or her own name on it, the only outcome of this situation would be the student getting failing and getting expelled. Plagiarism just isn’t a good thing to do, always give credit to where it is due.

  9. One who shares their own ideas, thoughts, quotes, and statements with everyone in their writing should always be credited because the words that are being used are not you’re very own. If you are using information from a certain web site, book, magazine, or article they should also be credited. If they are not credited it is seen as stealing. It is important to give people their credit because they worked hard on their statements and ideas. Just imagine your own work being used in someone else's writing without quoting you, people would think that, that person came up with your idea. Also using someone else's work without quoting them and using it as your own is seen as plagiarism. Some ways to avoid plagiarism is, quoting, paraphrasing, citing and being honest about your own work. A paper with proper citations and quotations show that the writer did their research on the topic as well as showing honesty about their own work. People reading their work will be able to compare and contrast between the quotations and understand the writers own ideas as well as the person they quote. It makes the author seem stronger when they know what they are talking about, rather than phony when stealing others work.

  10. The reason why when writing a paper it is important that one credits those whom they draw information from and/or reference is because it is not your own words being written on that piece that you are taking time to structure, this dishonesty is plagiarizing. It is information or words that someone thought deeply about or did the hard work of researching the subject to structure a very well put sentence or essay . In my opinion a paper that is citied and has given those the credits they deserve entitles your paper some type of strength. Not only are you being honest but what you are writing is all coming from you. If someone was stealing your ideas you would feel a certain way so why not consider it yourself when writing your own paper and using the ideas that others have already come up with? Citing your information and reference shows your reader that even through these are your own words, you have used ideas that others have already thought of. You can use many writing mechanics to avoid plagiarism, one being MLA structure. Use your own words and making that paper your own and not those of others that are helping you put you’re ideas together is the right way to go.

  11. We should always give a credit to whom we borrow information from, whether it is a small article or a research paper. I call it borrowing information, someone says it is stealing. Whatever it is, it has its name called plagiarism and as a writers we must avoid it in all our papers. First of all, we can not just take some ones believes, ideas or a hard work first writer did in a past and copy them as our own. I would say it is a huge moral violation. For example, in a music industry song or music writers with copyrights can even open a law case if they hear their poetry or melody on TV or radio. Also, when I write an essay I always try to use MY OWN experience, feelings, knowledge and ideas. And only when I am running out of ideas and additional facts, I can use another papers, but I always cite all my sources, even if I changed original phrase or used synonyms. To avoid plagiarism first we must understand writer’s main idea and express it on a paper with our language and feelings about a topic.

  12. It is primarily important that one give credit to the according person for words and thoughts that they are using because it is not one's own. When getting information from a certain source, it is important to cite accordingly and in proper form. Not only do you tell the reader where and who exactly wrote the information that you are using, but it shows that you have done some research and you are using that extra information that you have found other than the information you already knew. Most importantly, it is wrong to use somebody else's words and thoughts and claim them to be yours. Instead of taking someone's published words right out of context, one can use the same idea but paraphrase instead. Paraphrasing is restating a text or a phrase in your own words. By paraphrasing, not only can you take credit for your own words, but it also shows that you have read and understood the text enough to put it in your own words.

  13. Stealing one's work without giving the credit is Plagiarism. If we cannot come up with something on our own, we us resources or notes to help us explain our point. It is very important to the credit that a person deserves. It is not our own idea. For example someone's work is like their child and you would not want to steal someone else’s child, would you? It just is not right.
Some ways that Plagiarism can be avoided is be citing the sources such as web, article, and book. Also you can avoid plagiarising by using footnotes and paraphrasing in you paper. Citing sources also makes it as if you did your reasearch when you wrote your paper. This tells the reader where you recieved your information from and also makes your paper much more creditable. Plus it does not make you seem like a theif and above all you do not fail.

  14. Is it important to give credit because otherwise it is plagiarism. When and if you plagiarize you can get into a lot of trouble. Also the person you're getting the information from could've spent a tremendous amount of effort on obtaining their information. You can avoid plagiarizing in many ways. One, you can put quotation marks around the "borrowed word" and then say who its from. Also, you can cite where you're getting your information from by using footnotes. Also, you can paraphrase, so that the reader knows that you actually know what you're talking about.

  15. Why we go to the college? To copy and cheating other ideas, thoughts? No, I think we go to the college to learn how to develop our skill. If we copy other thoughts and ideas we will never develop our own skill. Especially after graduate from the college when we enter into the official life we have to take so many decision and write everyday report for running the business. If we do not learn and practice how to write now, then we will get into trouble in our real life. It is important to give credit when we write form other sources, otherwise it will be known as plagiarism. It is difficult to avoid plagiarism. If we are copying from someone’s thought we should write in the quotation. Whenever we write someone’s idea we have to write exact word and mention his or her name. We should write our own idea so that we can build our idea.

  16. Stealing another's work is morally wrong. People deserve credit for their original work. When someone uses that work without giving credit where it is due, it is unfair to the person who created it. If this was allowed, people would reuse material all the time. Students who are too lazy to do work would just copy someone else's ideas and get away with it. No one would benefit from this which is why plagiarism is forbidden in educational institutions.
A huge way in which plagiarism can be avoided is by citing sources. This way, whoever actually wrote it, they will receive credit for it. One can also paraphrase while still giving credit to the original author. These methods are preferred to avoid any accidental plagiarism.

  17. Why do you think it is important that one needs to give due credit to those whom they have draw information from and reference and research? What are some ways that plagiarism may be avoided?
If someone is doing a research paper and they lack the knowledge on that particular topic, then they have to conduct a research. Whenever one does research it is important to sight the text because it’s another person work. It is vital to tell readers where your information comes from so that they can refer to it if they are interested in reading it or maybe even if they have a similar research paper to do. Authors spend time and effort to write their papers for someone to just steal their ideas. If one rerecords another’s ideas or phrases and does not give them credit this, this is referred to as plagiarism, which is illegal. One way to avoid plagiarism is not to look at source while summarizing or paraphrasing. For example, try to explain your understanding of what the author is saying in your own words. Another way is to make sure that you cite author’s name, source, date and page number if available in one’s article. By doing so, one can avoid plagiarism.

  18. It's important to give a person credit your taking the source from because they put in a lot of time and effort into writing, researching and observing so you can read what they've learned and be able to understand. Some ways that plagiarism can be avoided is by siting the work properly using MLA guidelines or by saying before you say something that Mr. or Mrs. so and so said this and make sure to state it clearly that they did.

  19. It is important to give due credit to those whom you draw information from for many reasons. Authors work really hard to come up with ideas and theories. If one is writing a paper and does not properly cite information that he has taken from others then it is called plagiarism. Citing your work properly makes your paper look better and informs your reader on where you got your ideas. It also lets your reader go back and read the cited work. Plagiarism is morally wrong and illegal, How would you feel if you worked real hard on a paper only to have someone take your ideas and claim them as there own. To avoid plagiarism we always need to give credit to those whom work we use. One must also be aware on how to properly cite the work that one is using.

  20. I believe it is very important to give credit to those you appropriated information from, because it makes that person and the writer a creditable or reliable source. And readers can find the original source if interested. (Depending upon where & whom you got the information from) There are many way in which a writer can avoid plagiarism. For one, if the writer decides to quote or take information from a different writer (or many writers), it is always good to cite the source or have a works-cited page. Also, if need be, the writer can reference the MLA citation in Diana Hacker’s book: The Bedford Handbook (eighth edition)

  21. What is plagarism? Plagarism is "to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one's own, to commit literary theft, or to use (another's production) without crediting the source."
I would be plagarizing if I took credit for this definition. Plagiarism is an act of fraud. It involves both stealing someone else's work and lying about it afterward. I took the definition from Plagarism.org who got the definition from Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary. Giving credit to where it is due is important because if not, that makes one a thief. Plagarizing is stealing someone else’s work. Not only is it stealing it is morally wrong.
To avoid plagarizing, be aware when you do not quote or cite the research. Make sure you give credit where it is due. It shows that one has done the research and has supported the theory or hyptohesis. To cite your sources, include information about the author, the title of the work, and where you received it from.

  22. It is important to give credit to someone for there own work. An aurthors text is sort of like his signature, once you take there words and not give them credit it's like stealing the writers' identity. It is also important because without crediting the reference you can sometimes copy information the writer may have reported incorrectly, thus making you look worse. Ways you can avoid plagiarism is making sure all your works cited are correctly, paraphrase or put it into your own words, and quotes.
